Episode 39: Victoria Male — 1/2 Your Biggest Fangirl

The saloon wasn’t big enough for the both of us. I met Victoria Male at a Geek Girl Brunch at Tinhorn Flats Saloon in Burbank, and we both had a moment of fangirling over each other having a podcast.

Victoria is one-half of the team behind the podcast and website Your Biggest Fangirl. This interview originally was going to be both of them, but unfortunately the other half — Kristen Chavez — came down with the cold that everyone and their brother seems to have gotten in early January.

They interviewed me in December (my episode just went live: episode 32), and not only did I want to return the favor, I was also fascinated by their own journey.

So, Victoria and I talked their podcast, approaching fandom from an academic and critical mindset, and other serious topics like Tobey Maguire and Darren Criss.
