WonderCon 2025 Interview: Ashley Maria of ‘Super Human Anxiety’
A young girl stands on an elevator, holding a plastic cup. The doors open, and there are a lot of her fellow students. Staring. When she asks if they are going up, they scoff and complain that they are now going to be late. The girl suddenly breaks the cup in her hand.
So opens the short film Super Human Anxiety. Screening as part of the Los Angeles International Children’s Film Festival at this year’s WonderCon, the nine-minute movie is a charming venture into anxiety and how to manage it. Read my interview at The Geekiary.
WonderCon 2025 Interview: Artist Randal “R.K.” Milholland
Something*Positive is a ‘day in the life’ webcomic that follows the main character of Davin MacIntire and his group of friends. Started in 2001, it is loosely based on the life and friends of creator Randal “R.K.” Milholland, and is darkly funny, skewering everyone and everything it can. It is sweet and sad and preposterous and honest: sometimes all at once. Read the interview at The Geekiary.
WonderCon 2025 Interview: Andy Nordvall, Kaj Kunstmann, and Bad Future Vol. 1
Andy Nordvall understands that crowdfunding an anthology comic that is dystopian science fiction might be an odd choice in today’s political environment. “It’s funny you mentioned that, because it was less relevant when we started,” he said with a laugh. “There was this moment of like, ‘Should we do this?’ People can just open up a news thing.” Read the full interview over at The Geekiary.
PaleyFest 2025: ‘Agatha All Along’ Panel
“The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” may have been sung, but that doesn’t mean the celebration is over. This year’s PaleyFest also had a panel celebrating ‘Agatha All Along’ on March 22, 2025. I had the opportunity of attending the panel (and witnessing the red carpet beforehand). Read the full write-up at The Geekiary.
PaleyFest 2025: ‘Cobra Kai’ Panel
After six years, the dojo is finally closed. Cobra Kai, the series with a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, has ended its run on its own terms. On March 22, 2025, the series was celebrated at this year’s PaleyFest and I was lucky enough to attend the event. Read the write up over at The Geekiary.

Read my interview with him over at The Geekiary.
LA Comic Con 2024 Interview: Composer Darren Fung
Music can make or break a film. You can see plenty of examples on YouTube when people do things like have “Yakity Sax” (aka the ‘Benny Hill’ theme song) playing over other scenes. As such, the composer is a vital part of the creative process. Read the full interview of composer Darren Fung over at The Geekiary.

On the second day of LA Comic Con, Impact24 held the panel “Post-Production Workshop: Behind-the-Scenes of Film and TV”. I had a chance to interview Only Murders in the Building’s Shelly Westerman (co-producer and editor) and Payton Koch (editor). Read the interview on The Geekiary.

One of the many panels at this year’s Los Angeles Comic Con was “Behind the Masks: Movement Performers Role in the Video Game Strike”. It consisted of four video game performers to talk about the SAG-AFTRA strike, the use of AI in the gaming industry, and what it means to be a movement performer. Read the interview at The Geekiary.
