Prepare the fanfare! The latest in the Final Fantasy franchise, Final Fantasy XV, will finally be released in March. As part of the promotion, Square Enix will be presenting Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV on March 30, 2016, at 7 pm EST.

Final Fantasy XV forms part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, and the designers have promised a much darker world than previous entries in the franchise. The design of the game plans on being open-world and an action-based battle system that’s similar to Kingdom Hearts.

The game has been in development since 2006, when it was announced at that year’s E3 Expo, and was originally going to be an exclusive title for the PS3 under the title Final Fantasy XIII. Under the rebranding, it will now be available on PS4 and XBox One. The game is available for preorder, and is estimated to cost around $60.

The free event, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, will offer new information on the game, and be hosted by Greg Miller and Tim Gettys of KindaFunny.com. Tickets have already been snatched up for the in-person event, but the company also plans on live-streaming it on the Uncovered website, as well as the Square Enix YouTube and Twitch channels. We plan on livetweeting the event as well, so stay tuned!
